Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of tools-4all.com and every tool, page and feature on it (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Tools For All (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.
2. The Service
- Free tools: the tools are free to use and do not require an account. The Service is funded by advertising and voluntary donations.
- Runs in your browser: most tools work entirely on your device. A few tools need to contact an outside service to do their job (for example, fetching a web page you ask us to extract from). The Privacy Policy lists these.
- Personal use: the tools are offered for personal, non-commercial use. Please contact us if you would like to use them commercially.
- Changes to the Service: we may add, change, suspend or remove any tool or feature at any time, without notice and without liability to you.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you agree not to:
- Use the tools on files, documents, web pages or other material that you do not own or do not have the right to process, or in a way that infringes anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights.
- Use the tools to remove protection from documents (such as PDF passwords) that you are not authorized to unlock.
- Create, package or distribute malware or any other harmful, deceptive or illegal software or content with the tools, including the executable builders.
- Attempt to hack, overload, disrupt or compromise the security or availability of the Service.
- Use bots, crawlers or other automated means to access the Service, except search engines indexing public pages in line with our robots.txt.
- Abuse the contact form, for example by sending spam.
- Download, copy, reverse engineer or redistribute the Service's code, as described in section 5.
4. Your Files and Content
- You keep your rights: files and content you open with the tools remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
- Processed on your device: tools that work in your browser process your files locally. Those files are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
- Your responsibility: you are responsible for the files and content you use with the tools and for anything you create, download or share with them. Please keep your own backups; we are not responsible for lost or damaged files.
- Messages: when you send us a message, we handle that information as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual Property and Proprietary Code
- Ownership: this website and its tools, including all source code, compiled and minified code, scripts, WebAssembly modules, stylesheets, markup, designs, layouts, graphics, text and other content (together, the “Site Materials”), are the proprietary property of Tools For All or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
- Limited license: we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the tools through your web browser, on this website, for personal and non-commercial purposes. This license does not give you ownership of, or any other rights in, the Site Materials.
- Code delivered to your browser: our tools run on your device, so your browser has to receive their code. That does not make the code public, open source or free to reuse. It is licensed to you only so that you can run the tools while visiting this website.
- Prohibited uses: unless we have given you prior written consent, you may not:
- Download, save, scrape, mirror or archive the website's code or tools for use outside this website.
- Copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, sublicense or otherwise make available any Site Materials, in whole or in part.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, de-obfuscate or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms or structure of the tools, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction.
- Modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works based on any Site Materials.
- Reuse the code, in whole or in part, in any other website, application, browser extension, product or service, including to build a competing service.
- Frame, embed or host our tools on another website, or present them as your own.
- Use bots, crawlers or other automated means to extract code or content, or use Site Materials to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
- Remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice.
- Third-party components: some tools include or load open-source libraries owned by third parties. Those components remain under their own licenses, and nothing in these Terms limits the rights those licenses give you in those components. These Terms apply to everything else, including our own code and the way our tools combine those components.
- Names and logo: “Tools For All”, “Tools 4 All” and our logo may not be used in a way that suggests a connection with us or our endorsement without our prior written consent.
- Enforcement: any use of the Site Materials that breaches this section is unauthorized, ends your license immediately and may infringe copyright and other laws. We may take any action available to us under applicable law, including sending takedown notices and seeking injunctions and damages.
- Reporting copies: if you believe our code or content has been copied or redistributed, please let us know through our contact page.
6. Third-Party Services, Ads and Links
The Service shows advertising from Google AdSense, links to other websites, and relies on some outside services to run certain tools. We do not control third-party websites, ads or services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service or its results will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted or suitable for your needs. You use the tools and rely on their output at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tools For All and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we were told such damage was possible. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the lowest amount permitted by the law that applies to you.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that arise from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may block or limit access to the Service for anyone who breaches these Terms or misuses the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 4 to 12 continue to apply after your use of the Service ends.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
- Talk to us first: if you have a concern, please contact us first. Most issues can be resolved informally.
- Governing law: these Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from the Service, are governed by the laws of the place where Tools For All is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Courts: disputes will be decided by the competent courts of that place.
- Your local rights: if you are a consumer, nothing in this section takes away the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
12. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability: if any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and the invalid part is applied as far as the law allows.
- No waiver: if we do not enforce a provision straight away, we have not given up our right to enforce it later.
- Transfer: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example as part of a reorganization or sale of the Service.
- Language: if these Terms are translated, the English version prevails where the versions differ.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version is effective when it is posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
14. Contact
