Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what information Tools For All (“we”, “us”) processes when you use tools-4all.com (the “Service”), why, and the choices you have. Where the law requires consent, it is collected with Google's consent message (Google AdSense “Privacy & messaging”), a Google-certified consent management platform that implements the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) v2.2.
2. The Short Version
- Most tools run entirely in your browser, and the files you open with them stay on your device.
- You never need an account, and we do not sell your personal information.
- We have no database: messages you choose to send us are emailed to our team mailbox.
- Ads (Google AdSense) and analytics (Google Analytics 4) follow your consent choices, which you can change at any time.
3. Information We Process
- Your files stay on your device: our tools (image conversion, compression, PDF, recorders, code and file tools and others) process files in your browser. Files you open are not uploaded to our servers.
- Contact form: if you send us a message we receive the name, email address and message you enter, plus the page you sent it from and your browser type, only to answer you. Messages are emailed to our team mailbox (Gmail) through Cloudflare Email Routing and are not stored on the site.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request details (such as browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this to identify you.
- No accounts: you can use every tool without creating an account.
Tools that contact outside services
A few tools cannot do their job inside your browser alone. When you use them, your browser sends a request to the service named below, which receives your IP address and the details of that request:
- Web extractors (extract images, videos, audio, URLs, styles, scripts and similar from a URL): the web address you enter is fetched through a third-party CORS proxy (api.cors.lol, with a fallback on onrender.com) so your browser can read the page. You can set your own proxy in the tool's settings.
- What's my IP: your browser asks ipify and ips.im for your IP address and its approximate location, and loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. The result is shown only to you.
- What's my browser and the headers generator: your browser asks our own endpoint to echo the request headers it sent. The response goes only to you and is not stored.
- GitHub downloader: your browser reads the repository you enter from GitHub's public API, falling back to the corsproxy.io proxy if GitHub refuses the request. The PDF unlocker downloads public password wordlists from GitHub.
- Libraries and fonts: some tools load open-source code libraries from cdnjs (Cloudflare), jsDelivr or unpkg, and the SVG editor can load fonts from Google Fonts.
4. Cookies, Local Storage & Consent
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before advertising and analytics cookies are used. Until you choose, Google tags run in a privacy-preserving mode (Google Consent Mode v2) that does not store advertising or analytics cookies. Elsewhere, cookies are used as described below, and visitors in places that give a right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (such as some US states) can use it through the privacy settings.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:
What we use
- Strictly necessary (local storage): your theme choice, tool preferences, when you last dismissed the “support us” message, and whether you installed the app. These stay in your browser and are never used for tracking.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 for aggregate usage statistics, according to your consent choices.
- Advertising: Google AdSense and its advertising partners, according to your consent choices. Depending on your choices and location, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
5. Google Analytics 4 (Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage and improve the Service. It runs according to your consent choices (Google Consent Mode v2). IP addresses may be processed by Google.

6. Google AdSense (Advertising)
This website uses Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps every tool free. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, according to your consent choices.

7. Why We Process Information
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on:
- Consent for advertising and analytics cookies, where consent is required. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Your request to answer messages you send us and to provide the tools you choose to use.
- Legitimate interests in running, securing and improving a free Service, such as hosting logs and abuse prevention.
8. Who Receives Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the Service:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery and security, and emailing contact messages to us.
- Google: Gmail (our team mailbox), Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Google Fonts, as described above.
- Tool services: the CORS proxies, ipify, ips.im, OpenStreetMap, GitHub, cdnjs, jsDelivr and unpkg, only when you use a tool that needs them.
Links to other websites, such as Buy Me a Coffee or our social media pages, take you to services with their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
9. International Transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
10. How Long We Keep Information
- Files: never received, so never kept.
- Contact messages: kept only as long as we need them to answer you and handle any follow-up. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
- Cookies and local storage: kept for the period the provider sets, or until you clear them in your browser.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because most tools run in your browser, your files are not transmitted to us. Contact messages go straight to our team mailbox; they are not stored on the site and are not publicly readable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we hold.
12. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent. You can change or withdraw consent at any time with the privacy settings link above or in the site footer. For any other request, including deleting a contact message you sent, please contact us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
13. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age set by the law where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Our Code and Content
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. It does not give you any rights in the website itself. The site's code, tools and content are proprietary and protected by copyright, and they may not be downloaded, copied, reverse engineered, redistributed or reused without our written permission. Section 5 of our Terms & Conditions sets out the full rules.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on this page with the “Last updated” date above.
16. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us here.
